How much does custom graphic design cost?
The cost is based off the total number of hours it takes to produce your final design.

What is the client's involvement in the design process?
Kolar Media discusses the project at hand with our client from the beginning.  We encourage the client to bring in any samples, color combinations/swatches, and ideas they may have.  During the design process, the client is asked to approve certain milestones before work continues.  At the conclusion of a project, the client may request the artwork in various formats.

Do you redesign current logos?
  Yes we redesign current logos.

How does your logo design process work?
We first discuss the client's needs, target market, and use for this logo.  We then ask for samples of existing logos that the client likes or dislikes to get an idea of their taste.  Sometimes the client already has a design concept in mind.  Other times, they have no idea what they want.  Either way, our designers make sure they've collected enough information before they begin work.  Our logo design service is very flexible.  If you'd like to see only a few concepts or if you need many, our service can be priced according to your needs.

What if I am not satisfied with the design samples?
If you are not satisfied with our design samples then we will redesign the logos until you find exactly what you are looking for.

How will I receive my design project once it is finished?
A finished project is yours upon receipt of final payment.  At your request, we will supply the electronic files to you on CD, floppy, or through e-mail.  We also keep a copy of your project on file for later updates or should you lose your copy.

Who owns the design when it is completed?
You own the design when it is completed, and we will send you a copy of the site on a disk. This copy is for your retention and should you wish to use another design company - you are completely at liberty to take this copy to them for them to use.

How much does a web site cost?
There are a number of factors that affect the final cost of your web site. These factors include the total number of pages you are going to have, if you need a database, graphic/multimedia design work involved, and if we will be conducting the maintenance.

Does Kolar Media provide web hosting and domain registration?
Kolar Media currently does not provide web hosting and domain registration. However, we are more than happy to help you get it all set up at your own low cost advantage. We prefer the user to set up their own web hosting so that they have constant access to their information. Kolar Media only requires a user name and password to help deploy and maintain the site on the agreed terms.

What is web hosting?
Web hosting is a monthly fee that you pay to have your site accessible on the Internet. We do provide web hosting for our clients at an additional fee.

What is a domain name?
A domain name is a specific web site address that you choose and register with Network Solutions(the official registrar of domain names ending in .com, .edu, and .gov). Our domain name is "KolarMedia.com".

Can I choose Kolar Media to design my site and use my own web hosting?
Yes, you can use any web host you like. Once your website has been completed you will have to provide us with your web hosting ftp login username as password so that we can upload your website for you.

Do I need to hire a "local" web site designer?
Kolar Media creates web sites for clients who are local as well as out of state. By using the Internet, email and the telephone, it is possible to communicate effectively and efficiently with clients in any location.

How long does it take to have a web site completed?
The amount of time until completion varies depending on the size and complexity of your site, as well as our current design schedule.

After the web site is completed, what role does Kolar Media play?
Kolar Media supports any website we design and are available should you encounter problems or require any enhancements. We also offer site maintenance so your site never goes out of date!

What is site maintenance?
Site maintenance is a fee that is paid to keep your site updated with new content that you provide to us. Most good web sites have their information updated regularly because new content keeps visitors coming back. If you wish to maintain your website yourself, you are more than welcome to!

Web Site Content - What Do I Put On My Site?
That would depend on the goals of your web site. If you run a business website you would include as much information about your products or services that your customers would need to purchase from you.

Who owns the site when it is completed?
You own the site when it is completed, and we will send you a copy of the site on a disk. This copy is for your retention and should you wish to use another web design company - you are completely at liberty to take this copy to them for them to use.
